Recruitment Policies
Beechview Academy is a small, friendly Junior (Key Stage 2 only) school located in east High Wycombe, with children mostly coming from the Marsh and Micklefield areas. We are very fortunate in our site, with large outdoor play spaces, along with garden and woodland areas, along with having the Rye just on our doorstep. London is a short way from us and we use opportunities to get into London on trips as often as possible.

Beechview is part of the Marlow Education Trust, along with Sir William Borlase Grammar school in Marlow and, we have been able to draw on their considerable expertise as well as develop strong links with staff and pupils there. We are proud to be part of the Marlow Education Trust, which provides a supportive network, sharing good practice with subject leads working across the schools and are excited about future expansion and links, which continue to support professional development opportunities and career pathways.
Beechview Academy has a high proportion of pupil premium, along with a diverse cohort of pupils and staff. Our pastoral team ensures a wellbeing ethos is embedded for all and our strong family ethos ensures inclusion for all. As a school we encourage children to engage fully in their learning through exciting, well taught, innovative lessons and experiences. The staff consists of a team of excellent learning support assistants, plus a number of volunteers, all of whom take the education and well-being of the children very seriously. In addition, we have teachers from the trust bringing specialisms through their teaching (such as visiting music specialists), who contribute to the development and training of the staff.
Our pupils participate fully in all aspects of school life, including arranging community events; taking ownership of their learning and pushing themselves on to higher levels and helping each other enjoy and feel comfortable in their school life. We encourage them to be independent learners, taking responsibility for their learning in a motivated way. We believe that happy children learn best and take every opportunity possible to motivate and enthuse our pupils in their learning journey.
